Manage Comic Update - A Guide to the Changes

There have been changes to our subscription notification and payment link processes recently.  Here's how we do things now.  

 

What Has Changed: 
  • We used to update subscribers Payment Links after each shipment - which served as a notification of arrival combined with a payment method. We have now split the single notification into two separate emails.
  • The first email is the  automatic YOUR COMICS email which will notify all  subscribers that had a preorder arrive during the week.  
  • The second email contains a payment link and is sent out according to each subscribers chosen Preference (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
  • Customers who choose the Local Pick Up option will no longer receive an emailed payment link.  

Why? 

This change has been made because of a software conflict that hit us late July/early August, completely messing up our comic inventory .

Think of the Shipping Preferences as a Payment Preference.

Subscribers should choose a Shipping Preference that matches when they want to pay for their comic arrivals.  Subscribers can change their Shipping Preference on this page https://mk1.co.nz/pages/managecomics/my_subscriptions 
The Shipping Preferences are: 
Local Pickup : Choose this if you would like to pay and pickup your preorders from Mark One's Hamilton store in person.  Local Pick Up subscribers are not sent a payment link - If you like to pay online but pick up instore we suggest choosing either the Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly option to receive a payment link ahead of your next visit. 
Weekly Shipping: Choose this if you would like to be invoiced whenever  preorders arrive instore.  We send the weekly invoices out after the final comic shipment for the week has been unpacked.
Bi-Weekly Shipping: : Choose this if you would like to be invoiced twice a month. We will reach out to customers who choose this option to record the dates that we will send payment links on eg, 1st and 15th of each month - or the first and third Wednesdays of each month etc.
We also use the BI-Weekly Shipping Preference for customers who have made an alternate arrangement. Eg customers who wait for the New Release Catalogues to be released each month etc.
Monthly Shipping: Choose this if you would like to be invoiced once a month. By default we send the monthly invoices out once the final comic shipment for the month has been unpacked - but we can set these to go out on a nominated date each month.  Get in touch with MK1 to nominate a specific date. 

 

You can change your Shipping Preference at any time by visiting the My subscriptions  page on the MK1 website and clicking through to the Shipping Preference Tab.   You can view all current items aside for you on the MY SUBSCRIPTIONS page as well. 

Reminder: Subscribers can always check what they currently have on order and what is aside for them on the MY SUBSCRIPTIONS page. . Check the PULLED ORDERS tab to see what we have from this week's shipments and the BILLED ORDERS tab to see what arrived in previous shipments. The MY ACCOUNT page will show you orders that are paid and ready to ship (or have shipped).
