While on vacation, Tintin meets eccentric Egyptologist Dr. Sarcophagus, who leads him to the tomb of the Pharaoh Kih-Oskh. Suddenly, Tintin's new friend disappears, and while searching for him in the tomb, Tintin finds strange cigars bearing the pharaoh's symbol! Although he doesn't know it yet, Tintin has stumbled upon a network of opium smugglers.
The brave reporter sets off across Egypt (Port Said, Cairo, the pyramids and the Red Sea) and India. On the hunt for the Egyptologist and the meaning behind the cigars, he makes friends with elephants, narrowly avoids falling victim to the poison of madness and saves a maharajah from a killer tiger...pure excitement from start to finish!
